Happy Thors' Day: How To Get Abs Like THOR!

If you haven't seen Thor, I would suggest it purely for the man candy/motivation to workout.
Hubbadah. Hubbadah. Hubbadah. Woah.

I digress, BUT it is officially summer, the season of barely there clothing. We spent winter packing on our winter weight, spring getting it off and now it's time to chisel in those abs-of-steel.  Here are 10 ab exercises that I have found to be the best way to get a flat stomach!

Top Ten Ab Workouts:

  1. The Plank: Work up to holding for 45 seconds - 1 minute (Targets back, abs and obliques)
  2. The Bicycle: Work up to 50 on each side (Targets obliques)
  3. Scissor Kicks: 30 total(Targets Lower abs)
  4. Ab Ball Sit-Ups:  Shoot for 100(Targets superficial ab muscles)
  5. V Sit: 25, rest, 25(Targets all ab muscles)
  6. Medicine Ball Twist: 40 total (20 touches on each side) (Targets obliques)
  7. Partner Throw Downs/Leg Drops: 25, rest, 25(Targets interior ab muscles)
  8. Ab Ball Plank with Mountain Climbers: 1 minute (Core blaster)
  9. 1-2-3 Sit-Ups (3 up, 1 down): 20 total (Targets superficial ab muscles)
  10. Jack Knife Sit-Ups: 25 total (Targets all of core)

Goal for the summer, be able to multi-task and get a tan while I run. I am officially training for the Savannah Rock & Roll Half Marathon (yay?). Look for me and my six pack running around Virginia Highland in just shorts and a sports bra. That's the goal, anyways...
